Makes You a "Member" of the Credit Union

1st Community Federal Credit Union is a member-owned cooperative offering financial services to its members. 

In order to qualify for membership in 1st Community, you must live or work within one of the 15 counties listed below or have an immediate family member living or working in these counties.  In order to become a member of the Credit Union you need to open a Share/Savings account and maintain the minimum balance requirement in order to remain a member regardless of where you live or work after you join the Credit Union:

• Minimum $25 deposit and a one time $5 non-refundable joining fee to open the account and become a member of 1st Community FCU

• Day-in/day-out dividends paid quarterly

• Funds on deposit may be pledged against a Shares Secured loan for a reduced interest rate

• ATM Card available with Savings Account

• FREE Accidental Death & Dismemberment - each member 18 and over is eligible at the time they open their account to apply for $2000 FREE Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance; additional low-cost insurance for the member and their family is also available; premiums are deducted monthly from the Savings or Checking Account.

• Your deposits are federally insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a U. S. Government Agency.  IRAs insured separately.

• additional Share/Savings accounts may be opened to offer you flexibility in account ownership and insurance coverage
