The Arnie Dillo Kids Club
for Children Birth thru 12
* Children ages birth thru 12 years of age are eligible to join
* A $25.00 minimum deposit/balance to open the Regular Savings Account makes the child a member of the Credit Union. The $5.00 Membership Fee will be waived and that $5.00 will be the first deposit into the Arnie Dillo Club Account. Those children already having a Regular Savings Account will be able to open an Arnie Dillo Club Account simply by signing for the Club Account and transferring funds already on deposit at the Credit Union.
* No minimum balance required to earn dividends on an Arnie Dillo Club Account; dividends will be paid at the same rate as a Regular Savings Account; calculated by the daily balance method; compounded and paid on a quarterly basis.
* No penalty for early withdrawal except for the loss of dividends being earned. Remember we are trying to teach our youth to start saving.
* New Arnie Dillo Club members receive: a t-shirt, a passbook, a pencil, a ruler, and an Arnie Dillo Club Membership Certificate.
* Each $5.00 deposit will earn a "Dillo Dollar" up to a maximum of $100 in deposits per month. There is no restriction on the amount of deposits, but the limit on the "Dillo Dollars" should encourage the children to actually make deposits into the account and make earning and redeeming "Dillo Dollars" fair and fun for everyone.
"Dillo Dollars" may be redeemed at any 1st Community office for the following promotional items:

* We have an "Arnie" mascot that looks like an armadillo to promote and attend all Arnie Dillo youth activities.
* This account and all related activities such as deposits and redemption of "Dillo Dollars" will be handled at all locations.
* Other activities planned will be a seasonal newsletter with both fun and educational items for club members, birthday cards, and other seasonal promotions.
* A parent, legal guardian, or any other person with written permission from the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) may open the account in the child's name and be listed as the joint owner(s)/beneficiary(ies) of the account.
* If the child is 5 or older they will need to sign the signature card before the account can be opened. This will give them a sense of pride and ownership.
* All accounts will allow total access to anyone listed as a joint owner of the account - we will not place any type of restrictions concerning withdrawals from the account on the child or any other joint owner.
* Once the child turns 13 all funds in their Arnie Dillo Account may be transferred back to a 1st Community Teen Club Account or into a Regular Share Account without a loss of dividends.
