About Us
|
History 1st Community Federal Credit Union
celebrated its 50th
Anniversary in 2003. 1st Community Federal Credit Union was
chartered June 8, 1953, as Goodfellow Civilian Federal Credit Union
serving only the civilian employees of the United States government
who worked at Goodfellow Air Force Base. We have seen many changes
over the past 50 years with the most significant being our field of
membership that now encompasses 16 counties. We currently have
seven offices, ATMs, our website, Internet banking, phone and
mail service to serve over 24,000 members living worldwide.
The driving force for the
establishment and continued growth of 1st Community Federal
Credit Union has been to make credit union services available to
everyone. Because we are "member- owned", democratically run,
and not-for-profit, we are able to give back earnings to each
member in the way of lower rates on loans, higher dividends,
low-cost services and 24/7 access to your account worldwide. Our
mission is "to provide each member a broad range of quality, low
cost financial services."
Along with the mission of
individual service, we also strive to be a
good corporate
citizen providing both financial and manpower support to
organizations that improve the quality of all our lives. We hope
that each of you are proud to be a part of 1st Community Federal
Credit Union and is able to enjoy the services you need to make
your life successful.
Remember, if you found
something good wouldn't you share it with your family and
friends? Tell them about 1st Community and let them take
advantage of what being a "member" really means!

* No Faceless Stockholders, just
Member-Owners Like You
We know that you work hard for your money. It is important to
you to be paid the most for your savings and pay the least for
the services you use and the money you borrow. We may offer some
of the same services as other financial institutions in town,
but how we offer them is different. We offer them to you as
"owners" of the credit union. The more services you use at the
credit union, the greater the benefits you and all your fellow
members receive through higher deposit rates, lower fees for
services, and lower rates on loans. |
|
